Today I ran on the Bonneville Shoreline Trail up to the radio towers, dropped into City Creek, and went up City Creek Canyon about a mile, then turn around went back the way I came.

The trail up to the radio towers is a jeep trail and is mostly clear of snow. It was early in the morning and the ground was frozen. The trail was very hard packed. From the radio towers down to City Creek the trail is single track and had losts of snow still. There were only a few tracks through the snow and on the shadow side of the hills the snow was about 6 inches deep. As I got close to City Creek the trail clear up and stayed mostly clear up the canyon. The trail up City Creek Canyon parallels a road that can be seem from time to time. I saw 4 other runners on the road, but only one other fool like me running on the trail.

I saw 10 deer on my run today. I invited them to join me for a run, but they had their own agenda.

Sounds like a good run. I'll have to check that section of the BST out one of these days.

Great run. I had intended to run the Bonneville Shoreline Trail in Draper, but Mother Nature had a different plan for me. I wish I knew the local trails like you and had the commitment to run them in any conditions.

It's one of my favorite spots to run, I has some good hills but is not too steep. That section of the trail is part of the Bonneville Shoreline Trail Marathon on Apr 25.
