Sometimes I have to set easy goals so that I feel like I am accomplishing something. Today's goal was to get out of bed and go for a run. I nailed it.

I ran the Wild Rose Trail. It was dry the whole way up with only a few patches of snow where I decided to turn around. I didn't turn around because of the snow. I would've enjoyed going higher and running in the snow, but I am not in good enough shape yet for longer runs.

It's still a good goal and you did nail it. And even better, you are still hitting the trails. Awesome.

Trails keep me motivated. I have a treadmill in my basement, but rarely use it. Why would I when I have an awesome network of trails just minutes from my house.

Exactly twinkies. Anytime you can get outside is better. Your fitness improves much faster self propelled. The tm can wreak havoc on your joints anyway

You will have to show me where these trails are. I only know of elephant rock. Do you run to the trail or drive to it?

I'd be happy to show you these trails. The Wild Rose Trail starts at Trailhead Park. That is really the name of it. It is in North Salt Lake just South of Eagle Ridge Golf Course. I usually drive to the trailhead and just run the trails.

There are several other trails that are all within a five mile radius from my house. Bonneville Shoreline, Meridan Peak, Hidden Lake, North Canyon, Cave Peak, Kennney Creek, Holbrook Canyon, Sessions Peak, and Sessions Mountain. I probably missed one in there, but can't think of it right now.

Way to get out! I woke up this morning with 2 inches of new fallen snow! Seems like we don't have to climb any elevation to get into snow this year.
