I was planning on running the pipeline trail with the Dirt Tours run club tonight, but we got rained out. I don't mind running in the rain, but the lightning in the canyon makes me a bit nervous.

Too bad you guys didn't show up. There was no lightning and it was awesome up there - just me, the mud and the rain.

Oh man, I can't believe it was good up there. I live just below Olympus and we got pounded with and lightning. I just assumed that it was a horrible mess up there.

Yeah - my boss lives near the foothills and was pounded with hail. I was watching the lightning as I drove up. If it was going on when the run started I would have played it safe and not run.

Maurine - You sure are a trooper. Nate and I were there from 6:30 to 7:00. I did a little warm up up the switchbacks, but there was some lightning that was pretty close so we decided not to do the run. We must have just missed you.

Hey, you are running the steeple chase, right? Did you get the email this morning about a possible course switch? That would be a shame if we had to run the other course. I don't mind a little treachery and risk. If you are running I guess I'll see you there in the morning.

Yes I am still running it. The weather looks great outside right now. Hopefully we can run the course. The alternate course doesn't has as much uphill so I would loose my advantage. We'll see you there.
