I got in a good run today. 18.3 miles. That is the furthest I have run since the Mid-Mountain Marathon last September.

I ran on the Legacy Parkway Trail today. I started at the Center Street trailhead and went South. The trail ends after one mile, so I turned around and headed North. I went to mile marker 9 then turn around and headed back to where I had started. I had about an 8:15 min/mile pace for the first 15 miles. The last three I had to really push not to slow down. My overall pace end up being 8:28 per mile.  Run Time 2:34

Nice job today. I bet it felt good to push a farther distance again. Hope you enjoyed the weather as much as I did today. Loved it!

Great run. I haven't had a significant long run since November. I'm not sure I could do it. Did you use the mile markers on the trail to measure your distance? The distance between the 4.5 and 5 mile marker is a little short but all of the other markers between 0 and 9 are perfect.

Andy - I didn't use the mile markers much because I have a GPS. On the way back I hopped over to the gravel trail at 500 South and there aren't any markers along it. The gravel was a good cushion for me to end on.

Hey, I ran the trail for the first time yesterday. It seems like a pretty nice trail - just wished there was more shrubbery for those emergency potty breaks.

A couple of us are planning to run OV50 - so maybe I will see your there.

Tarzan - The trail is pretty barren at the moment, but in a year or two it should have some trees and shrubs for a little privacy. Hope to see you at OV50.
