Eight miles easy this morning. I ran North to Twin Hollow Park then did a mile on the Bonneville Shoreline trail.

I was talking with my sister in law over the holidays and  trying to explain why I love to run. I guess some people just can't understand the joy of getting out of a nice warm bed to go running in the freezing cold.

Weird how they don't understand that. I didn't get to sleep until after midnight last night (wife wanted me to stay up and watch a move) and I was still bouncing out of bed at 6am this morning. Freezing cold and I was still singing along to my iPod while I ran. Hahaha. We are so weird, all of us.

I once described to a unknowing friend that I loved trail running because when I was young I wanted to be like Indiana Jones and that's how trail running made me feel...she's now a trail runner on her first quest for the marathon!

best of luck on your 100 miler!

Have you ever noticed at the psych ward that everyone there thinks they, and everyone else in there, are normal too? ;-) We're so misunderstood!

All they need to do is try it for a bit, then they will get it. But maybe not in the winter.
